"This is the Swampmaster’s fifth year (2008) at the Illinois State Fair.
“I saw this show last year and this year. I really enjoy the show because of the educational aspects of it. He gives a lot of facts about alligators and keeps it in terms that kids and adults can understand. My 3 year old was able to comprehend what he was saying about the alligators. We took advantage of the chance to hold the alligator last year and this year. He is such a nice guy.
Last year we were the last in line and we were able to talk to him for a while (I was so excited to get to hold an alligator, I am a gator lover!). He even remembered us from last year, which really impressed me since he sees so many people on all his different stops. I would definitely recommend seeing this show. I would also recommend getting there early for the show as the seats fill up pretty quick from what I’ve seen from last year and this year. Each show I saw the seats were filled and there were people standing to watch.” ~ Amanda

Memo from the SWAMPMASTER......
On the SWAMPMASTER GUEST BOOK there have been some comments about the tape on the Alligators mouth after the accident.......
I have never Duct Taped a gators mouth, that was done by the trapper that secured the animal after I was well on my way to the hospital. This is standard proceedure for a trapper but is not the way I tape and secure animals. I did not like this either! "The Swampmaster"

Kissimmee, Florida -- It's been more than 2 months since an alligator nearly ripped Jeff Quattrocchi arm off during a live show. But now he says he's ready to go back to work and back to handling gators.
First though, Quattrocchi who performs under the name Swampmaster says he wants to set the record straight. So he sat down with 10 Connects to talk about the May 9th incident.

Ouattrocchi gained international attention when an 8 foot gator clamped down on his right arm while he was performing in front of a live audience in New Port Richey. The incident was caught on video and immediately went viral. Quattrocchi had to be hospitalized.
Next week, Quattrocchi will perform his first show since the attack. While it won't be with the gator that bit him, Quattrocchi says he will perform at least one more show with the animal later this year.
Quattrocchi performance next week will be at the Bangor State Fair in Maine.
